.
Galathon
OFFICER
Romulan officer representative of those serving the Romulan Star Empire.
Pursuer of DNA Program in 2369.
Archeology Greed Treachery
Integrity 3 Cunning 7 Strength 9
No changes: A very useful personnel (especially in Treachery/Archeology decks) with nothing glaringly obvious.
Final version:
No change
Changes: Made it a dilemma, which is more in keeping with the concept. It's sort of a wall/killer for space.
Final version:
Gaps in Normal Space
Space Dilemma
Pockets of distorted space, such as those
in the Mar Oscura nebula, which cause matter in contact with them to phase
out. Can pose a serious threat to the structural
integrity of a ship.
One personnel present (random selection) is killed
and ship damaged unless ENGINEER + Physics present. Cannot get past unless
Navigation x2 present.
Changes: A little modification to the wording, and made the "resurrected" personnel stopped, to limit it a little.
Final version:
Genetronic Replicators
Event
Experimental medical device developed
by Toby Russel to grow replacements for damaged organs. Used
to heal Worf after he was paralyzed in 2368.
Plays on table (free if Toby Russel in play).
Your Away Team members are 'stopped' instead of killed,
if 2 unaffected MEDICAL are present.
Changes: We've seen that he's a great pilot, so Navigation x2 makes sense. I tweaked the lore a bit, as I am wont to do. The download is a little thematic addition.
Final version:
Geordi LaForge
ENGINEER
Chief engineer aboard the USS Enterprise.
Sees with the aid of a VISOR. Fortuitous holo-programmer.
Friend
of Data, but not of Spot.
ENGINNER Navigation x2 Physics
Computer Skill V: Engineering Kit
Integrity 8 Cunning 8 Strength 6
Changes: Ugh. What can I do with this waste of cardboard? Well, I can give her the Computer Skill she needs to work at Ops, and let her download a Long-Range Scan. Still not too impressive, I'm afraid, but better than nothing.
Final version:
.
Giusti
OFFICER
Representative of staff officers in Starfleet. Served at the
ops console on the USS Enterprise during the pursuit
of Baran's artifact smugglers in 2370.
Youth Computer Skill V: Long-Range Scan
Integrity 7 Cunning 6 Strength 4
Changes: I thought about making her a holo-personnel, but decided against it. Instead, I simplified the wording, altered the lore, and gave a thematic bonus to Troi. Note also that I removed the allowance for Kevin and Q2-- nullifying my version requires the Kevin to be played in response.
Final version:
Goddess of Empathy
Event {Countdown 2}
Fantasy holodeck simulation of Deanna Troi created by Reginald Barclay.
Viewed
by him as a way to avoid the unexpected occurences he feared.
Plays on table. No player may play Interrupts. Deanna
Troi has +2 Empathy and is attributes +4 while present with a Holodeck
or Holosuite.
Changes: The Klingons need at least one Honor mission specialist, and Gorath is it. I did change his lore, though... the Hegh'bat is the Klingon ritual suicide. This guy's not even in the Encyclopedia, so I took a few liberties...
Final version:
.
Gorath
SECURITY
Typical Klingon security officer. Assigned
to guard the Klingon High Council chambers during
the succession crisis in the year of Maktag.
Bet three bottles of bloodwine on Gowron.
Honor
Integrity 7 Cunning
5 Strength 7
Changes: I changed the lore to better reflect what we know about him. Since he mined ore illegally with the Sisters, he can 'feed off' your opponent's Process Ore.
Final version:
.
Gorta
ENGINEER
Male Dopterian partner of the Sisters of Duras. Illegally
mined magnesite ore on Kalla II with them, but was stranded there when
they double-crossed him. Returned the favor by telling the Enterprise where
to find the Sisters.
Geology Greed
If on a planet where opponent has a Nor, you
each draw a single card
whenever they Process Ore there.
Integrity 3 Cunning 7 Strength 4
Changes: I have made this version of Gowron to represent him prior to being named Chancellor. The bonus is acquired only if the Arbiter of Succession is played on him (that is, he wins the battle). Yes, he will have Leadership x3, Diplomacy x2 and Honor x2. Note that if he is killed after the Arbiter is played on him, the point loss will be doubled as well.
Final version:
Gowron
VIP
Political outsider who frequently challenged
the Klingon High Council. Competed with Duras to succeed K'Mpec as leader
of the Empire.
Leadership x2 Diplomacy Honor
If Arbiter of Succession is played on him, has
+1 to all skills, +3 to CUNNING and STRENGTH, counts as a Chancellor, and
doubles the Arbiter's point box.
Integrity 7 Cunning 7 Strength 9
Changes: I altered it to make it a bit more challenging. Not much else, though...
Final version:
Gravitic Mine
Dilemma
Free-floating weapon used against starships.
One such mine, left over from the Cardassian war,
caused the USS Denver to crash in the Mericor system.
Unless SCIENCE + (Navigation x3 OR SECURITY +
Physics) aboard, ship damaged.
